Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just over the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are established in a generally tiny space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling dens is in a perfect location, a three to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 largest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; although, funding sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are apparently needed to pass, there are ways around this, as is true of most border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored boat gambling den, highlights 150 slot machine games and 60 tables. The Naga gambling hall never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, 4 tables of twenty-one, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machines and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slots and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat banque (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and 66 of the familiar gaming tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel building that highlights many conveniences aside from the gambling den, which has ten thousand square feet of 130 one armed bandits and eighty eight tables.
